Safety...Our #1 Priority

  • Clearview vows to do ALL services according to the standard put out by the industry.
  • We use OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) glass for your safety to assure you of a proper fit specific to your vehicle and only use high quality adhesives that are guaranteed to bond securely.

Basic Safety Features of ALL windshields:

  • Prevent object penetration into the passenger compartment.
  • Provide additional structural support to the vehicle frame during a rollover accident.
  • Keep the passengers in the vehicle during an accident.
  • Provide resistance for the deployment of the passenger side airbag. (Many passenger side airbags deploy at 200-300 miles per hour while they hit the windshield.)

The windshield is the most important piece of glass in the vehicle as it is the first line of defense in most accidents. When an accident occurs, there are several things that happen. Debris is sent as projectiles which travel at a high rate of speed going faster than the seatbelt can respond.

Secondly, the passengers need to “catch up”. Ideally, the seatbelt restrains the passengers as everything in the vehicle lunges forward. If an occupant does not have a seatbelt on, the windshield may prevent them from being thrown from the vehicle but with the potential of head injuries or other bodily harm.

Lastly, as the vehicle occupants and items in the vehicle “recoils” and comes to rest, there is the potential for a third danger. A properly installed windshield will hold up to a rollover, deflect the debris and sustain impact from the occupants without coming loose from the frame. A windshield installed incorrectly or one that has been bonded to an unsafe surface such as a corroded frame will come loose and could fall back onto the vehicle occupants.
